Hi everyone, Welcome all to Derbyshire Alert users and I hope you find this news useful - press the appreciation button at the bottom of message if you like it 😊 Early hours of this morning - 22/08/26 @03.30 an Alfa Romeo estate in red was stolen from Lambersitch Drive , Acresford without keys - if anyone has any good CCTV footage around this area then please ring 101 for Derbyshire Police and quote Occurrence no. 26*502861 - thank you. A Speed Op. was conducted by local SNT around Glenfield Road, Dracan Village yesterday afternoon and approximately 33 incoming cars were monitored on a stretch whereby this is a 30mph maximum speed limit, and there were no speeders, but a couple of drivers were spoken to in regards to a faulty break light, and a dog not properly restrained in the rear seat - so all in all drivers were driving responsibly. Under UK law ( Highway Code Rule 57) dogs must be suitably restrained in a vehicle to prevent driver distraction and injury to sudden stops. A crash- tested harness, pet seatbelt tether, secured crate, or boot guard is a safe option but never attach a car tether directly to a dog's collar. Keep pets in the back seat or a secure boot safe, away from active front airbags. A sixteen year old boy who failed to stop for Police, whilst driving with no licence, insurance etc…was caught by the help of Traffic cops around Cauldwell area yesterday afternoon off Sandy Lane. Fortunately no person was injured and the youth was arrested for multiple traffic offences, and as the below picture shows where the crash occurred, the resident was relieved that their fence was not damaged. If anyone requires free Faraday pouches for keyless cars then please get in touch. Thank you for your attention ☺️
